Hey guys, still waiting for my PPR despite everything being approved back in February already. I just had another question, I currently work in Canada and trying to get a promotion at my work. Considering that the promotion will involve a change of the title and additional responsibilities, will that somehow affect my PR process? Can't find the answer relating to my question on the forum.

I am very happy to announce that I got my PPR today. Thank you everyone on this forum for your support! It was a long and painful wait, specially last few days. My timeline is as follows:

MEP: 09/20/2018 (or 1-2 days here and there, cant remember exact date)
Analyst recommendation(sometime in January): Recommended Pass

Total number of days: 230

I hope everyone who is waiting get their PPR soon!

Hey guys !!!! New to the thread. Just found out that file has been transferred to Montreal visa office in 1st week of April after almost 4.5 months in Calgary VO.

AOR - 14 Nov 2018
CEC Inland
Single applicant.
Background check in progress since January 17 and still the same ( according to the person i spoke to this morning).
Account shows 32 days left for six months completion.

So i understand this is an entirely different proposition when the file is in Montreal VO.

Any ideas what time line i can expect ?

Any thoughts would be helpful.

Thanks.
That's rough.
Basically there are 2 schools of thought.
1. The files are handled in the order they were transferred and right now they are in late october (as per the last person to verify)
2. Files are handled in chunks. I guess right now will be July/August/September

Hopefully you have good luck especially after spending 4.5 months at a different visa office

Thanks HFL2018. No I did not, I checked the account at around 12.45 and nothing was updated. Later I got an email that my account was updated at around 1.45. When I checked back I saw the ppr letter and my background check status was changed to ip2.

Hi All,

Just received PPR email!!!
AOR : July 24, 2018
IP1 : Aug 15, 2018
Received GCMS notes: End of March, no RR, Notes had "Appears Met"
VO: Montreal
IP2: Apr 8, 2019 (Ghost update)
PPR: Apr 12, 2019

Thank you all for your feedback and positivity!! Good luck everyone :):)
Congrats to you both! It's always nice to see folks from Montreal receiving their PPRs. Montreal tests patience a lot and seems like the processing times have reached a 7-8 month range now at Montreal.

For anyone who has recently discovered that their file is being processed at Montreal, do yourself a favor and order GCMS notes especially if 5+ months have elapsed post your AOR,

All the best everyone!
