Hey @Ash_Vish, congratulations too. It is already ending in Praise!Hi @Rijo02,
First of all, a BIG congratulations on receiving the PPR for your wife. Although the wait is not over yet, I know it's a big relief.PHEW!
To answer your question,No.My PPR letter only requests me to submit my passport along with photographs and the passport request letter within 30 days. There was no mention of any additional family information.
I have a query regarding our situation ( only the dependent being asked for passport submission). I understand from your previous posts that you had called CIC regarding this. Do you think it is important to call them for the PA to receive an interview or PPR? If so can you share the contact no that you used and the best time to call?(I haven't contacted them before, so I'm sorry if this is a repeated question).
If you think calling them is of no consequence, how long do you think we should wait and what the best move forward?
Thanks in advance!
Thank you very much for the reply. I will definitely keep you posted!Hey @Ash_Vish, congratulations too. It is already ending in Praise!
About the additional family information, I think that it is actually case specific. That is, since the VO asked for my marriage photos, he/she might be interested in my family. Hence, I was asked for IMM008 and Additional Family Information to still prove my case. Besides, my wife was asked to submit her passport within 15 days which is unusual. Anyways, we will submit all the required documents so there wouldn't be any reason why the processing of her visa will be delayed.
For the case of the dependent, I don't think it is necessary to contact CIC for that. I am pretty sure that the VO that sent the PPR for the spouse outside Canada had already initiated an internal request for the local CIC office to schedule appointment for the principal applicant. Although the call center agent I spoke was confused about my wife receiving the PPR letter, she confirmed with her supervisor that a local office near me will contact me for my landing.
Lets watch out and see what happens in the few weeks to come.......And please keep us updated if you hear anything from them!
That sounds great that you are not in Montreal.@cansha @gadhvibhargav Got my GCMS notes today. Eligibility recommended as passed. I haven't read it completely as I'm busy these days with something but my file is in CPC Ottawa.
