Application Received - Dec 21, 2016
AOR - Jan 10, 2017

Not in process just waiting

My Question :
Someone I know got AOR after me from Montreal but in process before me
Does it very person to person or just 1st come 1st serve ?

Each case is different, and is treated by different agents at different offices, so there's really no way to tell what makes a particular case run faster than others. Some offices are noticeably faster - Surrey, BC, for instance - while others just can't work that fast due to the number of applications - the case of any major urban center like Montreal. Besides that, a number of particularities enter in the game. At some point, your process might reach a status further along than your friend's. It's better not to compare to one particular person, but to average processing times at the office nearer you - if you can. Or, best of all, don't worry too much about it. Check your status from time to time, try not to obsess over it, answer to requests as they come. You'll be a citizen soon enough.

Normally how long does it take to receive test invite letter by mail after in process for Montreal?
Anyone applied or already done test from Montreal?
Does it very person to person or just 1st come 1st serve ?

But, again, don't obsess over these numbers. Each case is different, there's no way of knowing when things will happen. Hang in there.
