Montreal applicants - test done waiting for DM

I think that some officers in Montréal work as follows: First, test & interview then Security checks.

No i don't think so.

Security check are triggered the time the application goes IP.

When the interview comes if the security check is done you will get DM right away, if not you will be put in the queue with others waiting for BG checks

The thing here is even if the security check is done you will need to wait until an officer get back to your file and update it ... that's where the wait becomes long

yes you said somme officers start security checks after interview ... if i understood correctly ... and in my opinion that's not true, the checks are triggered from the moment your application goes in process
 
Ok. There is a misunderstanding. When you say "(...)If not you will be put in the queue with others waiting for BG checks", you mean "If the security checks are not done before the interview, you will be put in the queue with other waiting for BG checks", right? In that case, that officer gave the interview before the security check, right? Please correct me, if I'm wrong.

I'm not saying that's the ONLY reason.

You may be right, But for my application, that’s the case. The officer told me that. At the end of the interview she said clearly "We have to do the security checks." And when I called, they said the same thing.

At the end of the day we are all just guessing based on observations ... no one knows for sure ... maybe you are right i don't know

Again it really sucks ... we have very little access to what's going on. You always hear the same typical answers from them
