If I land for the first time, how much money should I bring/declare? Should it be the same amount as I declared in the Settlement Funds when I applied for Permanent Residency?

You are free to bring any amount you want but if it is equal to or more than $10,000.00, you must declare it at the landing point. You might be asked to show evidence that you have the complete proof of fund for your family size. You don't need to have it all in cash, you may carry some in travellers cheques, bank draft or carry your current account statement showing you the funds in your bank account in the country you're coming from.
Is it possible to show the 'current account statement' from my local bank account from my country of origin and in the local currency there? My bank can't provide bank draft/travellers cheques unless in dollars (just found out now).
I intend to bring only around $2500 (I'm the only member) because I intend to return back to my country after a few weeks.
