Hello my friend,
I've got question which is related to my tax return filing for 2017
I became PR in Feb 2016 but only moved in Canada permanently since May 2017. To earn money for living, from May 2017, I did some work for my friend for his business in my home country and had commissions, money is transferred to my Canadian bank account. I also have a full-time job in Canada from Aug 2017, pay full EP, CPP and Federal income tax too. My friend transferred money to my Canadian bank account from his company's bank account in Canada. The total amount up to Feb 2018 is around $45k
Is it ok if I don't declare the commissions on my tax filing as overseas income since there's no contract, no agreement, no message on the remittance either?
I will declare the interest earned from those amount as interest from savings (under $100)
Thanks everyone for your guidance
