mom's multy visa with 6 month stay(I'm pregnant)

Hi!
I'm pregnant and I want to invite my mom to Canada for my due date and stay over with me for about 6 month.
-Should I mention in her application the purpose of my mom's arrival as a "daughter's pregnancy" and apply for multi visa with her length of stay 6month (she is retirement age)
-should she apply as a family visit for 6 or may be 1 month, without mentioning that I'm pregnant?

Where the chance is better to get visa?

1. Should we mention "Pregnancy as a reason" in the invitation letter?
2. Request single or multiple entry visa

Yes , you should mention "daughter pregnancy* and apply for multiple entry visa. You can always write multiple but the visa officer take the decision.
Tell the the truth, there's no harm. She will get the visa. My friends also did the same.

I am seeing mixed answers on the discussion forums, in any case i have to make up my mind. I have couple of more queries i would appreciate your respopnse..

1. What is the approximate funds to show in the sponsor bank as wells as the visitors bank?
2. I dont have "Notice of Assessment" or T4 as i just landed this year in February 2011 and i have the permanent job with pay slips from February. Would payslips be sufficient?

Cool down everything shall be fine.
1. You don't have to show amount in visitor's bank,what visa officer would like to know is a. visitor intention to visit is genuine or not. b. The person who is inviting able to support the visitor's stay?
you have to show your personal bank account statement. You can also attach payslips. I invited my mom,she did not show anything. any other questions

Who is another visitor with your mom ? You said two visitors.

It's good to put that you don't have T4. Visa officer had like to see, if you had good steady income, so you would support two visitors.Can you show between C$ 5000. to 10,000. in your account? How much you can show?

I can show around 20k, and yes i have a stable income. I am a full time employee of one of the fortune 500 companies and my early income around 85k.

In your case, there should not be any problem to get the visa for Mom an Dad. In any case visa officer called them for interview and ask, if they own any property in India. They should be able to explain.
Rest is fine with your case.

Hi,

We're in a similar situation: We're expecting our first child and would like to have my wife's sister to visit us for about 2 months on a TRV to help us out as we both do not have family here in Canada. I would assume that having a relative to come over to help us with a new born for the first weeks is a sound reason but I heard different stories.
The question is, should we bring it up in the application (e.g. invitation letter) or should we leave it completely out? My sister-in-law would come on her own. She'd be leaving behind a child (2 years old) and a husband and owns property (apartment). She'd be taking off from her job (working professional with a well paid job). Any thoughts?
