Just submitted the application on my own and included a letter of explanation I was straight forward and honest with everything. I am hopping the visa officer understand. Wish me luck everyone and thank you for your help. This forum been great help for me.

I’m just gonna remain optimistic and hope for the best. Time will tell if they’d let that go.

By ignoring the issue your mother will then be out of status for around 5 years. Her PGP application will likely highlight to IRCC that she is out of status. You should be considering letting her leave and then Trying to reenter. If she has no travel medical insurance and you don’t have a couple of hundred dollars to use if she does need care in a hospital that is another reason you need to be considering trying to legalizing her status.

We are not going to ignore this situation. She will be leaving soon to renew her passport and reapply for reentry.

Ok good that wasn’t mentioned in your posts. Unfortunately she will need to make plans in case the overstay makes returning before getting PR difficult.

That's a good plan since she needs to be holding a valid passport. Be aware that reentry may not end up being possible until PR is approved. Good luck.
