Mistake on form 5257e

I made a mistake on my application form regarding the date of a job in Employment section. I already sent a web form email indicating the mistake and with a new corrected document. It's regarding my current job, I wrote "TO 2018-03" and the correct date was "TO 2019-03", because it was the last date available. I'm worried it's to big of a mistake, as I have also included a letter from my employer indicating the correct dates with my first submittion, I had to correct the dates on the form 5257e because the dates wouldn't have match. I reported the mistake the day after my first submission.

Also in the family form I wasn't shure of my dad's year birthdate because I don't have contact with him, I put the one my mom remembered but my brother insists it's a year earlier, is this year very important information?

I haven't received my instruction letter to get my biometrics. Anyone knows how much time does it take? Could it be taking long because of the mistake on the application form?

It would be amended in your file.

It does make a difference as the incorrect date of birth (or any other biographic information) might show up as the identity of someone else in IRCC records.

If you were unsure, you should have put an '*' for the unknown date field.... and explained why in the cover letter.

It typically takes between 24-48 hours to get the BIL. Sometimes even a week

I was not aware I could put a * for an unknown date, I will made that amendment if I cannot verify the year of birth on goverment records. I should've asked here before I submitted my application. I'll now wait for my instruction letter, hope it doesn't take long.

Nice Forum.

Thanks for your reply Bryanna
