Some of you may remember that our application was returned due to discrepancy in address. My American husband is currently staying/visiting in Canada and in the first application, we provided his American address as his residential address and my Canadian address as his mailing address. After some advice from this forum, we updated the application and put only the Canadian address with a note that he's staying here as a visitor. Sweet. Sent that bad boy just before Christmas.

Well just today, I was going through the papers because I was looking for some info and I noticed that the form 5406 (Additional Family information) that was sent the second time, still contains the American address for my husband. OMG WTF$%^$. I think I'm gonna have a nervous breakdown. I have no idea how that happened, I think I just mistakenly re-printed the old version. I really don't recall this.

What the heck do I do now? Will they send this application back again? Will they ask for clarification further down the line? Do I somehow send them the correct version? But how, we don't have case number yet.

Oh crap. Well, there's a chance they will just overlook it this time, and you did at least put an explanation (or was that only in the new version)?

I'd send an express envelope with the updated document, mark it with his UCI, (if he has one), name address and put with it a brief explanation of what's happened.

Are you sure you didn't just save the old version but print out the new version with the latest application? I never made second printouts of our documents I just have them all backed up on a HDD.

Crap indeed. Big, big crap haha

He doesn't have UCI, we didn't get acknowledgment either (app was received December 21).

I photocopied all the completed forms for my records. I don't know what happened when I was putting together the package. Either I used the old form or printed out the old form. There was literally piles of papers and, well, mistakes happen. CIC mailed back the application as loose pages (all paper clips and tabs were removed) and it took me HOURS to sort through it.

I don't know if I should just wait to see if they send it back or bring it up later or should I mail the correct form. As mentioned earlier, I don't have a case number and if I provide only names, I have no idea how the new form could possibly find its way to the file.
