Mistake in schedule A

Dear all
We are a Syrian family, we had an oportunity to be privately sponsored in Canada last year, we filled all the forms and it was submitted to IRCC and we got an active file number.
Few days back i was reviewing the submited forms and i discovered that i have made a terrible mistake in schedule A in two questions, section C if i have previously made a refugee claim with canada or united nations or any other country, i was soo stupid not to read the whole question asuming its talking about Canada and i ticked no, while the correct answer is yes because 2 years ago i traveled to the UK and applied for asylum but then 20 days later i have withdrawn my asylum application and left the UK voluntary.
Same goes for question D asking if i was ever ben refused refugee or visitor visa in Canada or any other country, i did not read the whole question and answered no, while the correct one is yes i have applied for US visa twice and was refused.
As soon i discovered the mistake i sent an email to ircc requesting information about my application, they told me it is being processed in Canada now, i sent them back and asked them what to do if i forgot to mention somthing in my submited schedule A, they said please send the new and complete schedule A, but they did not mention a time frame for sending the document, i actually did not recieve any email from them before that requesting any correction, so will sending them the updated documents at this stage solve the conflict before it is too late.
My lawyer is suggesting that we wait untill we hear from them regarding updated documents, or wait untill the interview since they will request an updated schedule A any ways on the interview, and that sending the document at the current stage will cause the application to lose all its progress and go back to its initial reviewing stage.
I am terrified because of what happend, and i am afraid to lose the whole application because of a stupid unintentional mistake.
What should i do do i send the new documents now since i already informed them i forgot somthing, and do u think this will undermine my credibility, or best case scenario will send back my application to the initial stage.
Please help me members and experts, all help will be apreciated.
Thank you

I'd be submitting revised forms ASAP before IRCC requests anything from you. I doubt the refusals would jeapordize a genuine claim, but the risk of it looking like misrepresentation for withholding that information from IRCC is fairly significant. Best to clear up the mistake before it becomes a problem.

Thank you for the advice.
But do you think that fixing this problem before they contact me would lower the risk of refusal as a sign of good will

Everybody makes mistakes. Better to catch your mistake and correct it before IRCC starts digging deeper and coming to their own conclusions. Make sure you include a cover letter explaining the changes.

Thank you for the advice.
I have just sent the updated documents to my lawyer, he is my official representitive, i think he should send them.
I know i ask too much, but till now no desesion was made by CIC nore they contacted us, so do you think sending the right thing no elemenates the risk of refusal.
The lawyer told me that they always give you a chance to fix things up on the interview since submiting an updated schedule A preior to interview is a must and that the reason why they ask for an updated one is for you to fix any mistakes.
Yes he is an expert, but to be honest i dont feel that we have to do the right think because Canadian praise truthfulness more than any thing.

I see nothing wrong with being upfront with IRCC. I believe your observation about being truthful usually goes a long way. Keep in mind, your lawyer is there to follow your instructions......his status in Canada isn't under scrutiny. You do what you feel is appropriate.
