When I first applied to come to Canada as a foreign worker my visa was denied 3 times for the following reasons.

1-On the basis that I didn't provide enough information about my work history. After this refusal my former employer
traveled to my home country and we both met with the visa officer. He told us that I needed a letter from all my previous and current job at the time talking about my work experience, etc. After that meeting my former employer decided that she was just gonna write a letter stating that she had already confirmed and assessed my skills and that they were adequate for the position, and add that letter with the work permit application. The second application was denied on the basis that I failed to provide the information the visa officer had requested. So, I applied for the third time and this time I provided everything they asked me for. But the application was once again denied on the basis that I needed to have certain skills in order to do that job (which wasn't true.) Few days later they called me and told me to go to a meeting with a visa officer. I went to the meeting and this time they sent me for medical test and background check. I did and after it all was cleared they issued me the visa and 2 weeks later I arrived in Canada.

Here is the thing: On the Background Declaration form they ask you whether you have ever been denied visitor visa, refugees status, or a temporary resident visa. On this question I clicked NO since the visa I was denied was a work visa, but yesterday I received an email from CIC requesting me to do the background declaration form once again and also the additional family info. So, last night I decided to see what a TRV means and it's basically a work permit visa, just that I didn't know. Now I'm filling out these forms again and on this question I clicked YES, and below I'm explaining why I clicked NO on the other form.

I would just like to know if you guys think that this will be considered as misrepresentation and hurt my application?

Thanks in advance.

Not really a big deal. You ended up getting the visa, they caught the error and now you are correcting it. If you never got the visa it would probably look worse.

Just correct it and explain you thought TRV was a visitor permit before you Googled it. An apology wouldn't hurt as well :) Good luck.
