misspelled name - preparing for PR renewal

Hi,

We are preparing for our PR card renewal.
We are currently staying here in Canada for 1495 days since landing 2010.

As I was reviewing the procedure, I would like to know if missing a few letters in name be a case for filing the amendment of name for IMM 5292 (confirmation of landing). The given names were truncated, i do not know if it is because of space limitation in the form.

Any opinions please?

CIC truncate names where names exceed a given length (IIRC 15 characters)...if this is the case no need for the amendment

I was just wondering if this caused an issue when you renewed your PR card, also when renewing did you put in your full name (not truncated ) on the PR card application form or used your truncated name as stated on your confirmation of permanent residence?

No problems when renewing the PR card.
Use the truncated name when applying . See my reply in another post - similar situation.
