Dear Friends,
I recently received the offer of admission from Concordia University of Edmonton (CUE) for the Sep 2018 intake into the MISSM Masters Degree program. In the IRCC letter they mentioned the program length as 20 months while in the financial section of the same letter they have given a full fee estimate for 2 years duration. Their website also describes the program as 2 year duration (but mentions "can be completed in 20 months").
I have a few questions regarding this:
1. I can apply for the study permit (visa) entirely online right?(except medicals and interview, if required)
2. My study permit will be for what duration? 20 months or 2 years?
3. From IRCC perspective, if I apply for a PGWP on completion of the course, would I get a work permit of 3 years or 20 months only. I heard elsewhere that IRCC considers 8 months of full time study as 1 academic year.
I would be grateful if anybody in this who can answer these questions.
