8 months have passed ...and now we got transfer to Vienna, but first were told that the app is being processed in Mississauga. So seems they are going to process it now....I thought they would figured which office during the 8 months....

That's very unfortunate indeed. I'm guessing it will be fast from now on as they are definitely getting closer to the 12 mo mark.

It's not dumb at all! I would be happy with any kind of change or movement. My husband and I (I am the sponsor) are July applicants, so I know we still have a ways to go...

My account has kept "your additional documents have been uploaded" until we got dm, then it changed to " We do not need additional documents" after dm. I will say it is a good news for you XD

I had this update, then 2 months later they requested more documents

Only 12 days after receiving "passport request", I've just received my COPR in the mail! It's done!
A few notes on ECAS: It's a mess and rarely means anything. We never got "In Process", so we went straight from "Application received" to "Decision made". They also inserted a line saying that processing has begun just days before we got passport request.
Also, the 'passport request' (which came from Vienna) did not require me to send in my passport (or even a copy), just two biometric photos. This is because Germans can land in Canada without a visitors visa, and the photos were required because Mississauga didn't forward my original photos to Vienna who need them to issue the COPR.

Our complete 2017 timeline (day-month):
08-06: Application received
29-06: AOR1
29-08: AOR2/Transferred to Mississauga
02-09: Medical request
22-09: Medical done
27-09: Medical passed
27-11: Passport request
08-12: COPR received

Anticlimactically, we're only moving in a few months as we've always had a fixed moving date in spring 2018 and had assumed an 8-12 month timeline.

And thank you, it's very tough to be patient but you need to let the process take its course.

Did you receive an email that your file will be transferred to Vienna? Because first we got email saying that file is going to be processed in Mississauga, then email that it will be transferred to Vienna....

Hi my wife is Canadian citizen. I'm from Punjab india. Received me my application no 23-Aug-2017. Medical has been done8-Nov-2017. And now showing msg Medical has been received. Sechudel A form also submitted. Landing fee and Passport pic has been submitted. Now what will be next step.

Question for US applicants in the PPR stage. Where did you go for your photos? His local Walmart/Walgreens said they won't do it.
