Hi all

I am new to the forum and would like to share my timeline. My application is for my son who is only 1 year old, while I cannot find the thread for dependent child who is an U.S citizen.

24 May 2018 : Application received by Mississauga
26 June: AOR1
3 July: Medical request (Medical exam was done in the afternoon of the same date)
5 July: SA and Medical marked as passed in GCKey
6 July: Email said that the application will stay in Mississauga (AOR2?)

Since then there is no update. I think children category shall be faster while it seems it is not. And I also have a concern. Although I have received the AOR2, the status of PA in ECAS still does not show the line "we start processing your application on xxxx”. Does it mean that they still have not started processing my application? I see many case in the thread that PA normally have this line shown in ECAS when received AOR2?

I got PPR today and my ecas still doesn't show "we started processing your application on xxxx". I think it varies, and I've definitely seen people say it only appears once their ecas changes to decision made.

Thank you. They looked at your additional docs to quickly. We got rcmp request and rprf request on July 3rd. Sent the files in 32 days ago and deadline ended 15 days ago.

Got PPR by email today (16 Feb applicant)

(For info that might be useful for others, ecas still says in process, CIC says 'application updated' but still showing 'we are determining your eligibility' and background check in progress , typically confusing! Unlike a typical request where you have to go into your CIC account to view the letter, the email came direct from CPC-Mississauga and the letter is attached to the email).

It can take 6-8 weeks to receive AOR. That's about 7 weeks ago so still within the timeframe. It could take longer. It also may be delayed further if it was after the address to submit applications was changed to CPC-Sydney instead of CPC-Mississauga. I don't know for certain but if they haven't returned it to you I imagine they will forward it on to Sydney, but it would presumably take longer.

Thank you so very much for providing me the insight; would wait for a week more i.e., next week, and hope she gets the much awaited AOR.

I think it's pretty common for Mississauga processed applicants to not have that line even after their background check has started....

In my experience, my partner received PPR today and when I went to check ECAS, it said decision made. But, as mentioned earlier in this thread, there was a new line on the PA side (inserted at #2) that said 'we started processing your application on 25/06/2018'. This line is chronologically out of date. Not sure what this means, but an interesting point.

My background check status changed to “we are processing...” the same day my sponsor was approved, on August 3rd, but there’s no AOR 2 on ecas on my (PA) side, in fact, ecas was never updated for either of us, it doesn’t show that AOR nor SA was mailed and they haven’t requested medical yet. At this point I’d like to know whether my file will stay in Canada or not (I’m not from a visa exempt country) but the call centre agents I talked to would not give me any information.

For me it was 1 week from when they received my passport copy. Mailed and received from within Canada.

My wife has her door within 48 hours of sending her PPR info to Ottawa. We are only 90 mins from Ottawa

Got PPR today! My status changed to "application/profile updated" on GCKey two days ago, so that may be a clue it's coming, as someone else mentioned they had the same message right before they got PPR.

I received my PPR on Aug 8.... Fedex’d the requested passport photos and copy of photo page on passport on Aug 14 today... Aug 21 I received my COPR by FedEx!! So about a week after they receive requested docs!! I spent extra to do one day shipping both ways
