Just completed my test on Friday. Very easy. Read the book as many times as you can, especially the beginning. Keeping in mind everyone has a different version. Interview took 15 mins, just stamp verification.. Officer said it would take 4-6 weeks for a response (maybe letter *fingers crossed*)

1) The tests contain questions standardized across Canada. Read the Discover Canada booklet couple of times paying attention to all the notes on the margins, take some online tests and you should be good to go even if the actual questions differ from the ones included in the unofficial online tests.

2) They mostly want to verify your current employment status and check our passport stamps. So the interview, if it's a routine case, is simple and short. Answer using whole sentences, not just Yes/No, as they want to check upon your language proficiency level as well. Answer the question asked only, do not volunteer more if not essential. It's not that you should keep something secret from them, but telling them more than what they asked for might make them wonder why you told them what they didn't ask about and raise a red flag. You dig? ;)

Hey guys,
I've got my citizenship exam scheduled for next Monday at Mississauga. Quick question:

1) What is the citizenship test like in Mississauga? Is it difficult?
2) What is the interview like? Are the officers nice and how long does the interview usually last?

Thank you.

Just got updated and invited for Oath on Nov 30th, Mississauga office.

1. Received application on March 30, 2015
2. Sent AOR on April 20, 2015.
3. Started processing on July 15, 2015
4. Sent you a notice on October 28, 2015 to take test on November 14, 2015
5. Notice sent on November 17, 2015 for Oath on November 30

Looks like Mississauga office is super quick after the tests??
Apparently, the notice was sent just after 3 days of the test

That's awesome! Congrats, apparently they've started a new pilot project which helps the officer in determining to granting oath which fits you in either of the three categories, 1. Long term PR, Under 18 & Ages 55-64. I hope I get my invite soon as well! :)

I hope they continue on the same speed as I have given test today at Mississauga office.

Thanks

After months of waiting, I finally have a schedule for the written test. I haven't seen the letter but the ECAS updated to show test date for next week.
Do they send the letter by email or by mail? It is not in my email.

Filed the application first week of April this year.

Hey guys,
I passed my test and interview today. Quick question for Mississauga applicants: how much time did it take to do the oath ceremony after doing the test? Cheers.

Usually by regular mail.

So, just got Decision Made, but when I click, it still just shows test invite..

Me too.
I still have Decision Made with test invite, and I just applied for my Passport this morning! So they're falling behind on ECAS updates by the looks of the things in some cases. It's obviously not a high priority.

I assume you got DM right away and how long did it take you to receive the letter from when you wrote the test?

I wrote my test on a Friday and DM was the Monday. Received Oath invite on the Wednesday. No further changes to ECAS
