missing to include my kids birth certificate

Hi, guys, I sent my app package of citizenship but I forgot to include my kids' certificate, I am excepting it be returned so to avoid the delay I am thinking to sent new application package with cover letter explanation,
what do you think if I send new application, your advice appreciated.
