missing documents - URGENT HELP NEEDED!!

Hello All,

I have applied for PR (CEC) in February, 2011 and I haven't received my file number. I just realized I missed attaching one of my transcripts, not sure if it is graduate or post-graduate as it is in sealed envelop.

Please advice if I should to write to Buffalo to inform about missign documents or should I wait to hear from them, I am afraid they will return my documents. I am more worried b/c my eligibility for CEC will be lapsed end of June.

Please advice...

Hi is that 100% sure missing? but which one is that? it takes 3-4 month to be able to get AOR. so i dont know they will send documents back or ask documents after AOR. its up to you i guess.

Don't send anything before you get your AOR. I sent them updates to my address before getting a file number and the AOR still came to my old address anyways so it means they either lost the request or can't track it because you don't have a file number yet

Thaks pouce, vbomb .. I will wait to get my AOR, I hope they don't return my application but just ask for the missing documents ..

Another question here .. my eligibility for CEC will expire end of June .. (2 years exp. in 3 years), if they return my documents and if I can't resubmit before end of June, what will happen to my application .. will they continue to process? fingers crossed ..

Hello All,

atlast I got the AOR via email. Now I am confused whether I should send the missing document right away or wait unitl they ask for it? I also need to update my address as I have moved to India after applying.

Any response greatly appreciated.

So one can do two things in one correspondence? I am thinking about update my new work permit info and delay the medical stuff together.

In the mailing instructions for Buffallo office, they only mentioned if mailing address is US or CANADA, but I am not living either of the countries. Can I just use regular courier service to send documents? May be I can send a request through email to update my address but documents through coureir?

Use the US address if you are not in Canada. You can use regular post or a courier.

You can submit a change of address by email (probably the best choice), and send documents by mail or courier.

Hi Guys,
After reading in A forum that pre june 2010 applicants will not be processed during the current year,i am finally thinking to submit my application under CEC class.Few queries regarding that:

1).They ask for Gen Module IELTS, what if i send Academic module as i have currently one.
2).I heard that if once your application is returned back d.t any reason you cant apply again.Is it true ?if this is the case then i may take the chance of sending Academic IELTS or not ?
3)And another thing i am here in canada on work permit visa since july 2008 and my current work visa is valid till aug 2012 but it is renewable till 2014 as initially i got it till 2012 as my passport expiry date was aug 2012.So if it matters that i send the current wp or i need to get it renewed.
