missed immigration at airport

My name is navjot...i came to canada on 5 august 2014.
I went into the wrong queue...and missed my immigration.
I didnot get arrival stamp on my passport and didnot get study permit.
What should i do ? Please help...

I wonder why you made such a mistake. The golden rule is that if you are in somebody's country for the first time, you must learn to ask questions if you are in doubt of anything. You do not pretend as if you know everything whereas you need a help. Meanwhile CIC rules make it clear that students must ensure that their details on their study permit at point of entry are correct before they leave the airport in Canada. I think it's not too late to contact CIC in Canada and tell them your mistake. And I am certain that with all your documents such as passports, LOA, boarding pass to the Canadian point of entry and air ticket, they will surely grant you your study permit you missed at the point of entry.

You'll need to go to a US/Canada land boarder to activate your study permit. You won't be able to do this at an airport (unless you leave the country on an international flight and return again).

i am surprised how did u manage to get out. Did the customs officer ask u to go to an immigration office and rather than going to the office u just left the airport?....how come u never noticed u were not issued study permit ?

It's actually not that hard to leave without the Permit. I could have left without the permit when I landed since the exit was in sight and the guy even asked me to get out of the way if I dont plan to leave. He wasn't checking if you received your permit or not. Just the declaration form stamp.

Once you clear the initial immigration/customs, you can leave or do anything after that. He/She will direct you to go see an immigration officer and will tell you where to go but it's not enforced.

well thats not the point i was trying to make ...how could one leave without getting a study permit. I mean if i even go out wont i realize i have not got a study permit and go back in or try to go back in.

it is simple friends .. if u go by yourself and tell them that this mistake has happen i dont want to be come in bad notes so i have come back being a responsible person so that i can get all the things done legally ..

U must go to aiport and sort outt his before they come to know and catch u .. see we cannot argue with them so we have to show them good side of ours by saying that its was mistake and when someone told me i thought to come and sort it out .

They will respect and give u stamp on pp .

You must go to US border and do a flagpole.

Hey. I beleive your issue must have been resolved now. I have faced similar kind of situation, cab you assist me please..
