check item # 6, changed from 2 to 5 years. This became law in 2013.
So it seems that clause is not yet in operation.Individuals would receive a five-year inadmissibility period for misrepresentation as well as a five-year ban on re-applying for permanent resident status.
Regulatory changes are needed to implement this authority.
