mismatch between provincial application and CIC application?

Hey there,

I just received an ITA and am preparing my CIC application. Going through it I realized I made minor mistakes in the personal history part of my provincial nomination application about my whereabouts 8 years ago.

Now I'm not sure whether I should correct this in my CIC application or just add it for consistency anyway. How thoroughly are they compared?

What do you think?

I would definitely try not to have any differences between those two applications.

Do the mistakes you made impact your crs score or eligibility in any way?

I think you are better off being completely honest in your application now and explain the differences to your OINP application in an LOE. That way you are on the safe side. The last thing you want is for your application to be rejected for misrepresentation.

Thanks for your reply :)

The mistake does not affect my eligibility, it would just mean I'd need to get a police certificate for the UK since it's more than 6 months in total then - but in fact I wasn't more than 6 months in the UK.

What's an LOE?

What's an LOE?
LOE is letter of explanation. Its an optional document you can write and submit alongside your other documents for anything you want to clarify or explain about your documents or application. So basically anything that you think might be an issue or requires additional explanation, like the circumstanves of a previous refusal or aspects of your personal history or whatever it might be, you can just write down and include there.

Can be a great help and help to strengthen your case or avoid confusion about the documents or details you submit.
