Hi guys, I'm 17 and I'm applying for colleges now as I'm in grade 12 currently.
I have a South Korean citizenship and I am trying to apply to a school in the states. (berklee, boston)
I have a PR status in Canada as a dependent of my father and my father is able to apply for citizenship as of
December in 2018. (which is by the time I'm 4 months into 1st year) The real question is, is it ok for me to not
have the 4 months of time that my parents spend without me and still be a part of their case?
Or am I out of it?
Or is there a way to maintain the PR status and keep adding time to the citizenship eligibility by spending my
summers in Canada?
Another thing I was considering was taking a 5th year in highschool and waiting until I was over 18 to go to a
college.
Thanks for the help!
