Minor kid out of country during citizenship application

Hello, Me and my minor kid applied for citizenship together in September 2024. I am residing in Canada while my minor kid is out of Canada since then. I think my citizenship is getting delayed because I am stuck at physical presence. Do you think minor kid being out of country delays citizenship application?

It doesn't. Your application delays the minor's, as the kid can only become a citizen with you, not the other way around.

Nope, it's not required to stay in Canada while your application is processing (except some steps like the Ceremony and the test). Probably you applied without a buffer

Thanks for your reply. I did apply with 30 day buffer but I have too many trips since I am a daily commuter to US.

So don't worry, they will verify your presence with the border agency and proceed with your minor.
