hello guys, is it ok if i make a very minute truthful editing in the experience letter issued by my company. I am not making any difference to it or adding anything wrong in it. My company is too stubborn to make required changes as per CIC. even if CIC is making an enquiry everything in the letter and true and my company wont deny any of the facts. again its a very minute edit, not making big change.

please advice

NO. If it is that minute then CIC will ignore that.

Will you be changing the PDF and printing it. Or do you intend to change it after printing it.
What exactly are CIC's requirements?

What exactly is the change? It is always better to explain any changes/concern in LoE.
i got a promotion during my work, company was not ready to show that in my letter, so i just added it to be honest

Your employer must have put his/her signature on the experience letter so it would be wrong to do any editing to it whatever the case maybe. Better to explain the situation in LoE.

Your pay stubs may also mention your position with the company and you can mention that in your explanation if it shows any change in position, pay rate, etc after promotion. If your employer denied making the change over an email, you can attach the email too. In the end, it all comes down to convincing the VO, so attach sufficient proof.

If you alter an original document like that, it will be considered a false document, which if discovered, will result in a refusal and 5 year ban.

yeah, i am really feeling nervous to do the same. I have submitted one final request with my employer with full explanation. Hopefully they will give me a good response. Thank you every one for giving the feed back. I dont want to mess up application just for the sake of sentence.

As already pointed out, you can't alter officially signed document. That's a serious offense in any field.
