I have submitted an application for my son under subsection 5(2) who is currently 17. He will be turning 18 shortly and wanted to know if i have just submitted his application, so will i have to submit a new app once he turns 18 or will his app be still processed as Minor application?

Age is locked in at the time an app is recevied, so you will not need to apply again when he turns 18.
Thanks and that really relives me of the tension due to the COVID Delays and the applications not moving.
Had 1 more question if you can help. After I got my Canadian citizenship, since I applied only for me though we landed as a family (Spouse, Son and I), we moved to US and my son never had a chance to go back to Canada. So as per subsection 5(2) i don't think he needs physical presence and still meeting the PR requirements since he is accompanying a Canadian Citizen. But where will his oath be held in Canada? Usually, they use the residence address to schedule the test and oath in a CIC office near to your residential address. Any inputs?

Good day Everyone, I need help with citizenship application for minor.
My kids passports expired last year and I couldn’t renew. Now I’m completing the application form and it requires the data page of their valid passport data page. But the passport has expired. What should I do please.
Should I just explain by writing to them? Will that be enough? Please help.
