Minor (3+ yrs) on visitor visa, return ticket required?

We will be boarding from karachi to canada.
I wanted to know if a return ticket for visitor visa for minor (3+ years) is compulsory? The minor is travelling with parents, mother on study visa and father on open work permit?
Will there be an issue at immigration Port of entry with a one-way ticket of minor having visit visa?

No issue entering Canada for the child. Would ask if the length of stay as a visitor could match the expiry date of your study permit when you land in Canada. Doubt your child needs proof of a return ticket but only the airline can answer.

Thankyou. My study visa is valid till nov 2023. Child visit visa is valid till june 2023. Later on, planning to apply for child's study visa.

Although the child’s visa expires in 2023 they are only allowed to stay up to 6 months until you have to file for an extension unless when landing it is altered to coincide with your study permit expiry date.
