779 total invitations to be issue to people scoring >= 886 points.

Job offer with LMIA /or/ PNP is required for sure; this about seals it. And this is not going to change anytime soon. The invitations are too less; and this new process is skewed towards LMIAs.

People already in Canada, use your PNPs. People outside Canada have no hope now; you will not get those 600 points by any means. New immigration reforms have set in; and the message is quite clear. In fact the message was clear in their press releases itself; where they repeatedly mentioned PNP or LMIA job offers will guarantee a seat.

Thanks for this notification, Nightrocker.

You were 100% on the ball.

Sorry to hear that the score cutoff is so high. Register on Job Bank when necessary and try to target employers etc

first they said that they will select a few people without lmia as the job bank website is not functional. sucks

Don't think employers will make that much of effort to get us the LMIA. It's just too much work. Unless the employer can't find anyone.

Nightrocker - I guess it depends on the skills. I find that Canadian employers like to meet people so a networking tour if absolutely desperate to try every means, can be considered.

Best of luck on your endeavours, and that goes for everyone.

"Don't harm"

The annoying thing about this is that if the people on 886 weren't lucky enough to get an LMIA or PNP they'd be sat here on 286 points...

I wonder if they'll ever drop down into the 400's, especially considering the chances were supposed to be higher for non LMIA/PNP in the first few draws.

Yeah, my boss won't do that for me, I'm 100% sure. He already says he is SPONSORING me to Canada (!). No way he will pay $ 1000-1500 and goes through the whole process, he will ask me a 1000 question, make a 1000 phone calls and finally will be ovewehlmed with frustration and will just hire someone else. So, I guess, I'm going home in May, which is :( or :) I don't know yet.

I don't think it's ever gonna go down. I read (I think Canadavisa.com website's lawyer) that maximum number of ITAs will be given in the first draw, and he called them as "Golden Tickets". Things will get even worse.

Surely 779 ITA's can't be the highest amount they'll issue each draw - they'd be way off their 65,000 expectation if that was the case - I'm guessing its lack of entrants at the moment alongside potential glitches in the system (people receiving update emails) which is making them play on the safe side with people who have LMIA/PNP.

See 886 means; just 286 from normal CRS points. And 286 points are very easy to score if we take the Google spreadsheet on here; in fact 82% people scored above 286. Hell, you get 100 points just based upon your age. And statistically this rules out people not getting 600 points. So I do not think the rank is going to drop below 600 in any way.

Lots of questions are unanswered yet.

When will the next draw be?
How many people were in the pool?

They promised a lot more. I'm very disappointed.

If they only want people with Job Offer, how come the Job Bank is not open yet?
