Yea, I could. I was on a part-time working contract (19.75 hrs/week) for three years, while doing my PhD. That made me eligible for the FSW program only. My total workings hours correspond to 1.5 years of full-time work exp. Yours would correspond to 2 yeas I guess, as you also mentioned :)

1. Please what is RA/TA?
2. if FSWP requires just > 1 year, will some with 3 years experience have the same point as 1 year?

RA stands for research assistant, TA stand for teaching assistant.
no! you should have at least one year of full time work experience and up to 3 years. meaning that you won't get extra points if your work exp. is more than 3 years.
Hope it helps.

RA: research assistantship
TA: teaching assistantship.
Refer to the NOC 4012 for detailed job responsibilities and requirements.

Same points for 1 to 2 years of full-time work exp
More points for 3 or more full-time work exp

Wrong!

ii. How many years of skilled foreign work experience do you have? It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation.
You can select:

1 year
2 years
3 years or more.

If you have 2 years of work experience, you will get more points than 1 year WE.
Of course it should be full year, not 1 year and 11 months!!

you can show more than 3 years of WE, but you won't get more points.

Try CRS calulator, and put 1 yr, 2 yrs and 3 yrs, one by one. See the results for yourself!

Don't know what is happening with the tool! It was changing before! Are they updating the tool because otherwise there shouldn't be two options (they could merge it in one option like IELTS where scores 7.5-9 in speaking receive the same score, no matter is it is 7.5 or 9)!

just to clarify again, will the period of PhD programme be classified as WE for FSWP for people outside Canada?

Yes. if you have at least 12 months of full-time, or an equal amount in part-time, skilled work experience. and if your duties corresponds to NOC 4012 and you can get a letter that states that clearly.

can the supervisor give such letter or it has to be in the university letter head paper

It should be on the organization or company's letterhead, signed and/or stamped by your immediate supervisor!

thanks for fast response

I have applied to WES, do i have to wait for their final response before i proceed to put it in my profile?

Well, when you create your EE profile you need to enter the reference number that WES gives you after assessment is done and also the date that assessment is done. However, as far as I know, you are able to change those info after you receive ITA. So if you are sure that your degree (PhD I suppose) will get a positive assessment, you could enter some info there and then change it. This happened to me for IELTS results! I had received my IELTS scores online, so I updated my profile with new scores, however I didn't know the exact date and reference number which comes with the paper that IELTS mails to you! So I guessed the number and I put a date! I was able to change those after receiving ITA.

Hope it clarifies.

Just want to be sure, the TA counts points for both entry into EE AND in the CRS, right?

do you mean the reference number they gave when i registered with them?

That is it! You should add IMM after those numbers. But you still don't know the date which assessment is finalized.
