Dear All ,

I would like to clarify about the minimum requirements for PR card renewal and Citizenship card .

1, Minimum number of days per year we can stay outside Canada after getting PR card .

2, Minimum number of days we need to be present in Canada during the first 5 years for renewal of PR card.

3, Minimum number of days we need to be present in Canada for applying Citizenship.

Thanks in Advance .

Regards,
Jdn

To keep PR you must live in Canada for two out of every five rolling years. For citizenship you need four years out of six in Canada.

Thanks Scylla ,

Is there any restrictions of how many days we can stay outside per year ? I have seen Some links specifying we cannot stay more than 180 days outside Canada in one year after getting PR card. is that true ?
