If only husband is living in Canada and rest of the family (wife plus 2 minor children) is living overseas, will 3 people not in Canada also count while calculating the minimum necessary income per LICO? The context is that the husband wants to sponsor his father for immigration to Canada and will not meet LICO requirement if everyone is counted (total 5 in this case).

Husband and wife in this case are not divorced, only wife is living separately in order to take care of some family business overseas. Please advise what you think.

The 3 people outside of Canada WILL count towards LICO. So the husband needs to meet LICO for 5 people if he wants to sponsor his father to Canada.
