min. time spent before filing sponsership

I heard from somewhere that at least I have be in Canada for 3 years after I got my PR to file for sponsership for my parents. Is that ture? I didn't find any information on it in CIC webpage. Anybody has any idea?

That is not true but you do have to show enough income to provide for your family and your parents.
