Hi Am a Jul 2013 applicant .. I Submitted my file just like anyother with some payslip and nothing much on tax or PF/social contribution. Last month i got a response from MIDI stating Intent to Reject and they have requested only my updated and translated copy of UAE Residence VISA. Wondering have they stopped asking for those papers or will they come back with another intent to reject letter later?

Also i understand they have waived the interview process of all the applicant .. please correct me if am wrong.

In the GCC countries, there are no taxes / social contributions.

I Applied in Nov 2013 from UAE, and got file number in April 2014, added spouse in August 2014
Requested to update file by MIDI on March 31st 2016, added dependent child on 10 of May 2016 together with the updated Docs
Waiting For CSQ any time from now.

I have given all my documents to my agent on Nov 2013, but got Dossier no in Feb 2015. After that no update, as per agent it will take 24 to 30 months to get CSQ. After getting CSQ for federal how long i have to wait. Do know how much time it will take for UAE applicants.

They've unified the federal process somewhat, so if one VO is swamped they'll transfer your file to another VO with less load. You can check the CIC website (just google for CIC processing times) to get the average wait time. It's more or less accurate.

Under this process the Abu Dhabi VO used to take 18-19 months, but now its reduced to 12-13.
