Hi Qorax,

Thanks for your effort.

But i have only one name,in the sense it is only shahrukh and there is nothing after that.

thanks

Hi Qorax,

Can u reply ,pls.

Thanks

How the CHC-London had been communicating with you till date? Were they referring you as, say, "Shahrukh" only? If that is the case, you can safely condone the 'surname' column. And write your 'only' name on the 'First Name' column.

Hi qorax,

It has been great communicating with you and thanks for your time.

Yes,From beginning CIC has been communicating with me by only the given name.I could find it in all the official correspondence as well as the medical request forms.

Pls confirm.

Thanks

Hi Qorax,

Also pls confirm whether or not my case would be rejected because of lack of surname in the passport.I would be sending the updated information chart without the surname.I hope it is ok.

Thank

Perfect...

In that case it is 'Shahrukh' only. Relax on that front, your case will not have any adverse effect.

All the best, buddy!

Bro,

The situation u described is not a question of good or Bad. It is a question of misfortune & for sure your timeline has gone wonky now.

It's never a good idea to ask for our pps from the CHC, once they have gone for visa stamping [if u really wanted it for an imdt travel, it stands justified though]. And in such cases the CHC, more often than not, send the pps back 'unstamped'. There r many cases on this forum & elsewhere too, where that occurred.

Plz note that, in your case the CHC did ask for the pps for Visa stamping only. Now that it has come back w/out it, u'll have to submit it again. And remember, no further communication on that matter will come from the CHC. It'll be in your interest to send the pps back asap.

Qorax.
Ps.: Yes, sometimes the CHC does some security check [part of the b/ground checks] once they receive the actual pps. Thus, the CHC email reply to u was correct.

Hello Qorax,
I sent them this email

“I have been proven for immigration to Canada and was asked to send my passport and my family's passports last November to your office. I had to ask you to send me back the passports while still being processed because of family emergency to travel (a death in the family), now we are ready to send our passports again to you to get our visa stamped, please, let me know if I should send the passports as soon as possible, we now put our plans and our lives on hold waiting for the visa so we can immigrate, so please, consider our situation. Thank you very much for your kindness”

After two days they replied

“We are currently awaiting results of routine background checks. We will notify you once complete. At that time you can send your passports back to us.”

Please advise.

regards

Hi Qorax/Other seniors members,

My passports hv to reach CIC office in London by 15.03.10.They hv given me 45 dys notice from 01.02.10.My wife has to travel to India this week, urgently. We are planning to send all the family members passport together, once she reaches back by the first week of March'10.Normally my medicals took 2 to 3 days to reach. So will it be feasible to send it by the 6th or 7th of March'10 to enable this to reach the CIC on time.
Please advise.

Thanks

Once again...
From Dubai the pps take only 24 hrs to reach London, via DHL. Mine reached the very next day.

Thus, if u send it on 6th-7th Mar [Sat-Sun] it is likely to reach on 8th Mar [Mon], at max 9th [Tue]. So, if the deadline is 15th Mar, it should be OK.

Hi Biblio,

Any update with your case?

Absolutely nothing.

It appears that my file is lost or probably 2008 applicants are taken for granted.

I don't understand if CIC wasn't following my case then why did they ask me for my documents in Dec 2008.

Nowadays I'm just congratulating the newbies who applied after me and are getting their PR cards, cursing myself as to why i was so proactive applying early 2008.

Have you ordered your CAIPS notes? Just today I sent my second CAIPS request hoping to see for any updates. I suggest you order one, at least to see the BFD or the assessment result...

aspire,
Did you sent enquiry email to the CHC london? Since you are 2009 applicant med request shouldnt take longer. I am in KSA too and I am worried about the postal system here. heard that Medical post will be sent thru normal post from London which is very unreliable in KSA
