Biblio,

Thank you so much. That was a very detailed answer. But the "delay" suspicions you have made me now hesitate to order one. But I thank you for sharing me that. It made me realize that I really have to be patient. My e cas states they started processing my application on July 31, 2009. I guess, medical request is on the way...patience..patience..praying..

Appreciated your reply.

Thanks Biblo for your response to my query...

I have dispatched the required documents today which will be delivered during this week...

I have a question, when the IO will review the additional documents and information requested. He gave me 60 days from the date of letter while I have sent documents within 2 weeks of date of Letter...

Will he wait for 60 days to complete and then review the file or start ASAP he reveives...

Please comment...

Thanks,
MJM

Dear Mjm,
"NO", your documents will be filed as soon as they are received and a flag is put on. The same officer will add a bring forward date on your file for the Officer in charge who is usually taking decision on your file.

I know this because i've seen my own CAIPS notes and the remarks put on my file. The only tricky part is that the Officer may not necessarily take decision on the bring forward date. Sometimes the bring forward date is 2-3 months.

So in short your documents will be listed and flagged as soon as they are received.

Dear Biblo,

i was asked to submit a letter from my current employer showing the duties and responsibilities on the company letter head. They have given 60 days from July 17 onwards. I submitted the same on 13.08.09.

Asper your reply to mjm, Do you think that they will immediately enter and flag on with a bring forward date. Also whats the maximum delay for the bring forward date. If its 2-3 months nothing to worry. I will be informed of the next step by November 09.

Am i correct. Pls help.

thanks
raj

Dear Biblio,

I have read in your earlier post in this thread that your case has been in process since October 2008 and you posted as well that you took CAIPS notes twice already. Were you able to figure out from the CAIPS the reason for the delay of your medicals? Thanks.

Dear 465465,
When they need a document , they put remarks on your file that a letter was sent to you and awaiting your response. That means the ball is in your court until you reply them.

Once you reply them, usually within the same working week an officer take not of it, that the requested document is received and file it. While filing they add a bring forward date for your file to the decision making officer.

I mean if your 60 days are expiring in December and you have sent them the document in October. Then they take note of October and add bring forward date. From my experience they do not wait till December to put the bring forward date.

But what makes us worry is the bring forward date itself may be 2-3 months and still the officer might be taking their own time for decision.

Dear Aspire,
Answer to your question means i have to expose my full progress to you. By the way you can use the email facility for private communication. Now due to nature of the question and the forum we are involve in, it's better that i respond here.

First of all thanks for keeping a sharp eye on my case. You are true that my case processing starts in October 2008 but it doesn't mean that they immediately request me for documents. When i look at my CAIPS, it shows me when actually my initial application was filed, then it shows when they send me AOR with official dates, then it shows what points they score for me in initial assessment and when they start processing my file, then it shows when internally they decided to request me for complete documents. Once i submit all my documents (some were issued with a delay of few days) everything get noticed with the dates.

CAIPS also tells me what remarks/score were taken on my major categories (Education+Spouse, IELTS, Experience etc). They send me request for additional documents, which i admit was my mistake (due to ignorance) as i am not taking help from any consultant and this is the point which delayed my case. That is why senior always advise to submit full set of documents.

In both cases CAIPS helped me ensure at least that i passed the Paper Screening stage. From the remarks of the officers i can assume that my case is strong and may be given a waiver in interview. It seems that background checks are taking place now.

Aspire, if you really are so impatience with your status, my advise is to go for CAIPS. No one on this forum can concretely tell you whether it delays the file or not. I merely suspect the delay as it add 10 lines of remarks on your file. But at least on the brighter side CAIPS tells you the status of your file.

Hi raj,

Raj, based on your experience If I may conclude that whenever e cas status shows "in process" it does not mean that your application is complete and you have already passed the 67 points assessment stage? It can change to in process the same day they mailed you a request letter for additional document, right?

In some other thread many members believed that once your e cas status was changed to in process it means review of the full application was completed and it has been found to be complete and it already passed the 67 points requirement.

What do you think?

Guys,
Time is running and people in Middle East are also loosing their jobs due to recession as the companies are out of Cash. What do you think if one get fired out of Middle East with the only option to leave the country, as finding another job is daunting task in Middle East.

Will changing the country effect the application?
Will getting jobless effect the applicant?
Jobless means no pay in accounts, means the guy is on fringe to have sufficient funds for settlement in Canada. Is there anyway if he informs the CHC to request process his application faster?

Any idea!

Biblio,

In my opinion change of country of residence and loss of current job will not affect the application. Only you have to inform CIC about these changes. Anyone gets fired from work these days. Even in Canada.

Hi,

I recd the request for Medicals on 10.10.09 to be submitted by 18.11.09.
Landing fees and passport photos submitted by end of Aug’09.

My ecas status as under:Case filed with London office under NOC category.

Permanent Residence
We received your application for permanent residence on March 16, 2009.
We reviewed your application and sent you a letter on March 28, 2009. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Your application and supporting documents were received by the London England office. They are pending review.
We transferred your application to the London England office on April 1, 2009. The London England office may contact you.
Your application was reviewed and we started processing on August 11, 2009.

My question is:
1.Along with medicals they have asked for PCC from Tanzania where I had stayed.I had at the time of submission of full docs with the visa office, filed the proof of having submitted the necessary docs for obtaining the PCC,along with finger prints etc.But I am yet to get the same. They hv told me to submit the PCC also along with the Medicals by the 18th of Nov’09.
What will happen if I m unable to get the same within the deadline. Will my application after going thro all these processes get rejected at the fag end or will they delay the stamping of the visa.
Pls,if somebody, who has gone thro this process, may share their experience.

Thanks

Kindly visit the link for complete download of what to submit with guidelines and a checklist in case you miss out anything.http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp

With respect to time taken by immigration, you are not alone everyone on this forum is crying for the time taken by Immigration to process your file.
