MI1 Married Prinical Applicants Updated their Spouse before/after getting MR.

Hi All,

This thread is started only for the married people who got tmarried before/after receiving their MR's.
In my case I got married in Nov 2012 before my MR request and received my MR on Feb 2013 just after 20 days sending spouse's file to NDVO which reached NDVO in Jan 2013. But its over 3 months now but no MR
of spouse yet.
Kindly share your exp. what type of examinations done by the VO for married applicants.??

Height, Weight, Eye testing
Blood test, urine test, BP test, chest x-ray

For kids, it depend upon the age

I got an email from VO that how to add spouse and I updated all following required documents of spouse:
In order to add your spouse to your application, we require the following documents:

- a letter explaining how your family composition has changed and requesting that your spouse to be added to your application
- updated IMM0008 Generic Application Form and updated IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form for yourself to include your spouse
- A completed Schedule A Background Declaration form, and an IMM5406 “Additional Family Information” form completed and signed by your spouse
- processing fee for your spouse (if accompanying you to Canada)
- notarized copy of the birth certificate of your spouse
- copies of experience and educational documents for your spouse
- copy of your spouse’s valid passport (s) both valid and expired.
- four recent passport-size photographs of your spouse according to the specifications
- a copy of your marriage certificate and marriage registration
- a few marriage photographs depicting pre and post wedding and also of the ceremony itself.
- police clearance certificates for any country in which your spouse has resided in for 6 months or more since turning 18 (see http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/security/index.asp for more information)
- the Right of Permanent Residence Fee will need to be paid before a visa can be issued to your spouse (if accompanying you to Canada)
- if you applied as a Skilled Worker - updated proof of funds for number of family members to now include added spouse

Actually I meant that processing stages for married might be different than singles. As, after/before updating spouse info how long they take to clear spouse file all the processing steps like B/C,S/C which done on principal applicant's would also have done on spouse's file and also marriage related document would have been verified by the VO.I am afraid that for us 2010 applicants they took 3 years to send the MR and how lone they gonna take for our 2nd MR.
Any realistic exp. on it ..!!!!!

for principal applicant tht is me only 2 forms generic and additional family info, no background and economic

Yes, I got notification from VO to provide marriage questionnaire after updating spouse.
Some people are getting direct medical of spouse after updating their spouse.
But some has to provide more proofs for marriage.

Looks like NDVO is prompt is dealing with cases where a dependent is added while the application processing is almost complete. I looked at some of "jotgrewal" posts and looks like they have already received visa.

OK great..!
No NDVO is not prompt at all for dependents even some new born members got MR within 3-4 months.
They r starching things just.
