yeah definitely. :)

dear mythestic, Markon, doct88 and all others, i require ur advise regarding an issue which is important for me. . As u all know this long Canadian immigration process has confined us by not taking important decisions of our life. These constraints have left us in dilemma' s and predicaments.
My Question, which is of utmost importance for me, that i have been maintaining funds in the bank since the submission of my application. Now as i have gone through the medicals in April 2012 and waiting for PPR1 and then hopefully PPR2 inshalla, i need to buy a car for me on urgent basis for which the only option is to withdraw funds from the bank to buy a car. one of my forum friends with the name of pk99 landed canada in 2010, was asked to submit bank statement as a proof of funds with his passport, but our another friend mythestic and many others who have gone through PPR1 and PPR2 were not asked to submit bank statement either with PPR1 or PPR2. what would be the repercussions of the situation if i withdraw funds? would they demand bank statement with PPR2? All of u assist ur bro mzb and may ALLAH pak help u all. ha ha ha i am being sentimental.

kindest Regards

Hi mzb..

As far as i understand, its safe to keep that amount in your bank, till visa is issued. As you have given example of a member
who was asked to submit POF with passport. So its totally unpredictable. In 99% cases, LVO doesn't ask for POF after medicals.
I was not asked for proof of funds even with medicals. But i think its safe to maintain funds, till visa is issued, unless there is
some emergency.

Other senior members can give their expert opinion.

Hi becket...

My e-cas doesn't show medical received line.
That's normal. Ecas is not always reliable.

thanks doct88 for prompt reply. mate they do not ask for the bank statement with medicals or PPR1, but chances r there for the submission of POF with PPR2. anyone thanks for ur sincere advise. God bless u and ur family ameen.

Agree with Doct88....
Its better to maintain funds.....

But If you don't....then there will be two factors....

1- They ask
2- They don't ask....

If 2 factor comes then no issues....But if 1 factor comes......

Then nothing very serious happens....
If you withdraw ur funds and utilize, and they ask for POF, u can deposit again, through any means,e.g selling your car...or may be any other asset, if you have plans to sale everything and go to canada.....so if u r selling any asset or car that will time near to fly i.e PPR1.

What max they can do is ask for explanation of this sudden deposit....you can provide a sale receipt of your car or any other thing...and thats it.....

I did the same.....I was not asked POF at time of my medicals in 2012, but on the safer side, I did deposit funds, so that I can provide if they ask on PPR1-PPR2...but again my account is at 50% as I too have bought another car.....

So its your luck and its your call....how you want to play...

To have a comfortable sleep, in these waiting days for PPR, its better to maintain funds....

Same here
I bought a car and they asked me about my funds before medical and i sent them a receipt of my car which i purchased and i sent them proof that i have investment in Gold, exact after a month i received Medical Request.

i think most of us confuse POF for immigration(befor landing) with POF for visit visa applications that shows our financial stability and credibility.in later condition we claim to be financially sound and stable enough to return to our country of origin after visiting purpose is once over.so we provide long bank accounts history, transactions etc.

in first condition we certainly are not required to maintain that required amount of funds for a certain period of time which is required in visist visa applications. i myself put that required amount in my account just for three days and took the bank letter showing the funds in transferable and free of encumberance form, and the statement showing that the claimed amount was in account on that particular day.after that i took that money out of my accounteven very next day.and it didnt have any problem in my immi case as i had med call in march and waiting for PPR1 alongwith u guys.

my brother-inlaw and a sister-inlaw also did the same thing and both r in canada under FSW,no issue. moreover it isnt cic's requirement to maintain the account with the required amont for a given time(they havent mentioned any time period)

so in my view u can withdra all of ur money and if they again ask u to give POF,u can put it again in ur account.no problem

if anyone disagrees plz give the reference from cic's immi guide.

A very interesting question i am answering/suggesting since last 3,4 months.. My own nephew just bought his new car after waiting for almost 2.5 years to his PPR (that never came, n he's still waiting). His aim is, if they asked about funds OR he get PPR-1/PPR-2, he will sell it off right away.
about bank statements, they asked me in the start n then with medicals. Usually they dont ask with PPR-1, however they may ask. (kon rok sakta hai inko)
I suggest you if its urgent, buy your Car and if they asked then show them the receipt + Old bank statement with an explanation letter that you were maintaining your balance till XXX date n you just bought a new car out of it. they will definitely consider.

I second this.. I showed my bank statement in the start of my process (in 2009) and then withdrew the amount. Used it in business etc.. then again they asked me to show my updated bank statement in 2011 (with my medicals) and i gathered all the amount (I converted them in USD) and showed them again in my Foreign Currency account.
They only objected on my newly opened Foreign currency account. So a simple explanation letter worked n nothing happened, got my PPR-1 after 2 months of that explanation letter.
