The notes said an interview is requested. My MP's office confirmed that.. Don't know when that will be; Mexico hasn't reached out to us. How does anyone do an interview during a pandemic that is expected to be around for atleast another year or 2?

How do you know if your in queue?

well you at least know it's requested but for the rest, idk

Thank you so much! I looked again in the CIC website and realize there has been an update regarding translations! Now, If we use the service of a translator who is accredited (officially recognized or authorized) in the country where the translation is being completed, we don´t need to provide an Affidavit. Affidavit will be needed only when translations are done by a non-certified translator. Awesome!

Yeah, that's my understanding

I see delay is for interview, supposedly new innovate ways will be up including video call interviews, hopefully this becomes a reality and this is over for you soon.

In my case no interview at all in notes I got them last week 3 days before my PPR, my officer did a pre-assesment back in February and was satisfied as per notes.

announcement was recent so we need to see how they move next

The same story, I realized that I needed an interview at 17 months and because I requested the notes, Mexico never informed me of anything. Thank God I already got they transferre to another VO and I don't have to deal with Mexico anymore.

How did you get it transferred?
We're there any delays after the transfer?
Were you transferred to Trinidad? My husband and I always thought his file would go to Trinidad cuz his island is just north of there. Mexico makes no sense, especially if he's required to travel there for an interview, a country who's official language is one he doesn't speak

Let the waiting time begin! Having a hard time finding a flight I think I will take avianca, I go from Guatemala to El Salvador, Salvador to Toronto and Toronto to Montreal.

let me know if you find a better flight

This is so frustrating, we are sep 2019 applicants, we sent a message to mexico via web form. their response, "we haven't review your application yet". I don't know how many months more we can be on this status :(

Our application was processed pretty fast in canada, when mexico received and started the application on december 2019, we stopped receiving updates

Even a week before I got DM I still receive the same answer, so it doesn't mean much.
