Ok. Thank you! I wonder then..If the application is approved and family are allowed to travel to Canada then why is it necessary for COPR? Can't the government just mail us something to say who is approved so they can enter Canada and wait for their permanent resident card?

Or there should be the option to finalize in Canada. I'm sure most of us at the end would be willing to cover the cost to courier the passports to Canada if that's all that is needed is a stamp and piece of paper....

I agree with you Mitch. I am in the same position. We have DM but my wife is still not able to come to Canada because we need a piece of paper and a colorful sticker in her passport.

I fail to understand how, in this day and age, and especially with electronic Visa's being issued for others, we are not able to receive the same for our spousal applicaitons. This is a huge failure, in my opinion, on the part of IRCC and the government.

You need a pretty sticker in your passport first and the only way to get one is to send your passport into an office that is closed. Please wait indefinately.

All the while foreign students and temporary foreign workers are allowed to enter the country. And don't get me wrong, I am not trying to take anything away from the students and foreign workers. I simply want the same allowences for spousal applications that the students and workers have.

It is funny that we are all being told to wear masks and go to work but our government can't do the same and go and fix these issues within reasonable time. They need to do what we are all doing and put on a mask and go to work and fix this mess.

So I just spoke to VFS Global and as of yesterday they are not open to the public but if there is a passport request they said we are able to send it by mail. I wonder if Mexico City VO will start issuing passport requests now

Same for Trinidad VAC also.
Hopefully soon we start getting ppr this September!!

About time... but it won't be debated until September 23rd. Is a a shame, i'm sure by then a lot of ppl will have responses and they will pretends the system is going fine... Covid , ok it passed for a bit of while as excuse but it doesn't on all. You think that the gov is not aware of that petition ? They already know what is coming up. They know the pressure behind this petition and all that, they are sure already working on something but , it won't excuse all those dead months that they could have done the needed changes.

Hi. I am an applicant from February 2020, we have just received the letter authorizing us to start the CSQ, I already have the forms of the Kit that corresponds to us, but I have not been able to access what additional documents we must send.

When I search the page the requirements come only for
-Travailleurs qualifiés
-Investisseurs
-Québécoise experience program

There is no option for Spousal Sponsorship. I would appreciate your help or if you share with me what documents you sent in your cases. Thank you.

Great news! That is awesome! So you emailed them and asked them to send you the passport request and they did? Did you email the VAC or the embassy? What did you ask for?
