I got an email saying they received special permission to waive my interview but specifically stated that the medical will have to be done again. I'm not going to push my luck but I appreciate the advice! After this incredible luck I am just going to do this knowing that my application is finished. In the email from Mexico they state this is it. After this, I just wait until they return to work to receive my passport request.
I am extremely happy for you.I am just praying for my husband to be here.

I really do feel for you all. I was only at 19 months which is ridiculous but I know many of you are close to 2 years and some over two years and I don't know how you do it. It is difficult to stay positive after this long. Just keep writing them and sharing your stories. I know also there are Canada wide protests scheduled on August 8 to show the government that there are many of us. I recommend everyone share and sign the petition created by Jenny Kwan. I try posting the link but it keeps getting taken down. For me it sucks it took the loss of our child to get the attention of upper management but complaining and writing and sharing my story definitely helped me get this process done.

I don't like it. It is costing me $910. But I planned to spend a few thousand dollars to travel and hotel for the interview and then this on top of it. I'm just going to consider myself lucky and do the medical. The medical exam is scheduled for Monday. If i complain then it will just delay my application further and I just want my wife and kids here.
Is she in Quito? My husband had his medicals done at Dr Valdivieso office and his tests were sent that same day at it was cheaper (there were three of them) if you need the contact, let me know!

Yes. We used him last time and have scheduled with him again. He was very good. But there's my wife and two kids. It's $540 USD plus travel expenses. It was about $900 CAD.

Congratulations, almost there

Just requested an update from IRCC.,.. 17 months and counting. To be honest i've just gave up this summer about looking on it.

They have CSQ since May and is the only document that has been requested in Feb 2020 on initial eligiblity (Pre-assessment)

Ahh yes, it sounds about right with the conversion. I initially thought you meant USD! Very happy for you!

I'm glad your case is finally gonna be over but i don't feel it's normal to have to push that much with the government , they should be glad to help and not putting us as such a low priority.

In our case , we still don't know if just the CSQ will be enough or they will ask for more or interview whatever... we have no idea.

Honestly it means they are working on it . Stay positive and be patient . My wife is from November 2018 and we are still here . In progress . It’s maddening

Trinidad had asked us too and we did it two weeks back. They say that happeneds when they are ready to grant ppr for visa .they would need a new sets of medical to do so , so u can travel. It’s a good sign
