I get that - but even with the first TRV we had already been together 4 years and known each other for 8...so not like we just were getting to know each other. I dunno - it's all a mystery.
All I'm saying is they really analyze it. If you said something on those applications that didn't match your current application or didn't fit with your current application then it can be trouble

Its interesting you say this. When we applied for my husbands trv we wrote we were friends (starting to evolve into a relationship) then and he was approved immediately. We had no interview and no requests for addition info about our relationship or timelines
I wrote them with an explanation after I read this in my notes. Honestly I had forgot all about it and never thought about it because it was only a few weeks into knowing each other. If i had of known it was going to be a problem I would have submitted an explanation sooner but my heart sank when I discovered they are holding my application because we said friends a few weeks in. My point with the TRV is it is very tricky sometimes to be careful how you word things because what I did was not wrong but to them it is bad and worthy of an interview. All officers are different so I don't know if others will dig that much into it but with us they did

Is that making us criminal to ask for a TRV to see our wife ? We are kept months and monhs without seeing for some it's even years... i don't know what's in those officer heads but seriously. We provide all on table , all clear papers and facts, what do they want more ???? They know where we live where we work, pretty much all.... it's like Cmon guys!

I wanted her to see Canada before we apply in sponsorship so she gets an idea of how things are here. and also giving me a brake from going at her country, (especially at winter here).... and it got denied (we go back in october 2018...) not my f*** fault. And we have explained this all in the application.

Now cause a silly agent refused it , it's us to battle with ?

You gonna tell me that this system is fair after that? bulls****

16 months passed and all the required documents (1- CSQ ) has been transmitted since a month.... They will turn everyone crazy with this method. Last time i've saw my wife... last Xmas.... such a way to live a married life.

We are tempted to re-ask a TRV for summer vacations coming up ... and she could stay in here until PR is over without working ,anyway she gonna need to learn French which will busy her enough before being functionnal here....and she would pass borders with CBSA with those argues. CSQ in hand , sponsorship application at the last step, but we are scared this could affect the PR application , it's stupid!

Yes. It is not something we should fear because we should be able to spend time with our spouses without being scrutinized. It is to bad this process isn't more common knowledge. I always thought Canada was a great country for immigration until I went through this process. I think our government officials should be ashamed for the way we are treated when all we want is to be with our families

Do you really think they care ? and even more in a pandemic period.

Hi, everyone.
We are thinking about sending more pictures from our last meetings, we are 12 days left from the year mark.
Any advice?

dont send anything unless they ask for anything or something has drastically changed such as a pregnancy... they state 20 pictures that is all they need

i've sent them updates from the last year (since we applied) it's been received on April 6th , MP said it was good so they see the relationship is continious. as were still waiting CSQ at that period...

Some says it's better some not.. it's just whatever.

Actually that's why my mother in law suggested me sending more pictures but also suggested me to ask someone else opinion so we don't make a mistakeo_O
@patvicto thank you for your response.

Well the document i sent was a PDF collage with a lot of evidence. Stuffs that happened during the year, proofs of visits there.. not necessarily pictures ... idk.

But was good evidence in this

Valentine gifts , Bday , Proof of acceptance of the wedding in the registry of Quebec and all.

Stamps of my visits there (passport's screenshots) (Tourism Visa), boarding passes and E-ticket of the last trip that was supposed to happen in April, but Covid made us cancelled it.

As in to do a statement that we didnt get married and never see after in between now.

Yes, I understand. That is exactly what we wanted to do.
I hope everything goes well with your application and let's see when Mexico starts working again!
