I did an interview tonight with a CBC reporter - following up on a story about our case in May - talking about the excessive processing times and lack of communication. It is supposed to air on Monday, and also be on radio and on the web. I hope it will draw more attention to the long waits (15 months so far for us).
Read about your interview it was great. They should interview a bunch of us at once lol

Can you reply with a link once it airs?

I got the medical letter in gckey an ahour ago. Do doctor office in trinidad need photos? Or they do the report electronically?
I do not know to be happy or sad right now. Very stressful.
Thanks
We called the medical office in Trinidad to verify in May 2019 and they completed my husbands photos electronically. It took them 1 week to pass his medical.

February 9th 2020 - ATIP request on notes of the case of immigration , 1 week around before the year mark. Last time i've requested that was in june 2019.... so shall be some new infos in this. It's not abusive , it's our role as representative and sponsor to stay tuned and updated on events. Sent to mexico in october snd still no news , heard that a request is sometimes enough to put your app on highlight at the vo and not been forgotten in the batch but the main purpose is to get the evolution of the case since June... 7 months of notes around and details, since it takes them around 30 days to get that, i feel is smart to ask at the moment.

ugh... is not even human.... 18 months !! Just not acceptable... Sometimes they extend the medical tho still it's not fair to make ppl wait that much.

In the end, the VO requested a new medical exam for my husband on February 6 (his children are not accompanying him). He completed it the next day. Let's see how long it takes from now to receive the letter for the passport. 19 months and counting on February 17.

I’m at the point where I’m going to email every 3-4 days. I didn’t bother them for 12 months. Now that it’s beyond 12 months and more I need answers!!!

PA (husband) is from Panama. We had to wait four months to get AOR1. We asked for a 30 days extension to complete a medical exam for one of his children because the mother wasn't collaborating (we couldn't do it at the end and provided tons of documents). We then had to wait for an interview date. After the interview I had to wait for a phone call from the immigration agent who interviewed my husband (that was almost a month later). I'm from Quebec so we had to wait until January for the new quota and meanwhile had to provide a new police certificate. He was suppose to come in January if the background check was ok. January ended and a new medical exam have been requested. We're exhausted.

this forum looks way better now.....
Btw Anyone else from 2018 got interview date yet? We’re 19 months also smh

Estimated remaining processing time: 8 Day(s)

98% complete

*sigh* i think it's really cause we are on wait of Quebec(gosh that i hate those quota on sponsorship) to do the final process (which are still in sept 2019...have applied at end of October) , cause it's none sense. I'll still email Mexico in a week to know what's going on there.
