Right?! And the part that's confusing me is they don't necessarily say that the Police Certificate is expired. They only say they need the "Contrato exclusivo para la obtención y legalizatión de CERTIFICACIÓN DE ANTECEDENTES PENALES, issued by the Consultoria Juridica Internacional".

But later in the letter it says to send both this and the Police Certificate together (I had no idea we needed two documents). They have the original Police Certificate, dated Oct 31, 2018. Would this also mean they need an updated Police Certificate as well?

Going to try emailing Mexico, and see what they say.
Wait is not just the police report what they are asking is the request for them..is the paper you spouse gets when the request of this criminal records is needed.maybe they are just asking this contrato exclusivo para la obtención de certificación de antecedentes penales because they know IT take us 45 days to get them...my personal opinion is to clarify with the VO what they need or are requesting because maybe you just need the old contract your spouse get with the first police records asked...and send your spouse to Consultoría jurídica too

Congrats , get ready for a huge grocery bill lol
This is NO joke. Make sure you have rice, salt, sopita, oregano, corn, oil, red pepper, salami and queso lol

Just invest in the grocery store lmao , expect to spend a lot of time there buying everything lol. I’m actually super lucky as hubby and my son have been eating canadian food , tried Korean bbq , and stayed away from the rice and salami so far ..... let’s see how long this lasts

Estimated remaining processing time: 23 Day(s)

This process is def going over the year *sigh* there's really no way that they can respect the 12 months

It really sucks. I'm now 3 weeks over the year mark and the only thing I know is that I have a bring forward date of January 31. I'm not sure if that's good or bad. My MP said everything looks good on my application and no mention of an interview...so I'm really confused why a bring forward date then.

As i understand it , it's like a house in listing, at some point new ones arrives then people look at the news ones and forget the old batch (same for application).... a bring forward is gonna return your app as in priority to finish for officers ... they do that when they are over the year not before.... it totally sucks

Bring forward can happen when certain things on an application have not been verified too. Like if they are waiting for an answer back from the applicants country. So for example they could be verifying your police record and have not heard back from the police, so now the visa officer will have it in their schedule to go through your file to make sure everything is up to date.

It's a possibility too...

I am in Guyana, They don't have a digitized police clearance system. I know if they wanted to get information from them, They would take a month at least getting back to whoever made the request.
ugh....

What's the point so we put all our efforts at sending them all upfront as in reports and all stamped by foreign affairs at start and then it's asked again 12 months after... this process as really zero sense.

I hope we won't be requested to get all those papers again damn is still long to get that !
