Hi Capin ,

don't be alarmed that your medical status changed to Not needed at this time , and I guarantee to you it doesn't mean ( it means "Not needed at this time means we have not yet received an application for permanent residence. You need an invitation to apply before you can submit an application for permanent residence." ) that's a general explanation that CIC had put there and it's not specific to your exact case .

Chances are your medical has expired , CIC didn't extend it and they don't need new ones at this time , they will inform you in writing if one is needed when time comes .

You can use your MP help to check on the status of your medicals .
I agree with TANMEX, they don't need new medical, or they will ask for them, in my case, they asked my husband to get Medical again, and they have not expired yet

I'm surprised it's moving this fast! It hasn't even been a month since we filed and already our application is moving to Mexico.. so far so good! :)

Hello,
Mexico replied to my email,
My husband got a request for new medical, and his are expiring until Dec 9/16
They responded in only 4 days, stating that the Meds expire after 1 year, and they need my husband to get medical again.
So, no, they did not answer why they ask for medical when they have not expired... But at least, they did replied to my email
Anyways, hubby is going for his Medical again tomorrow 8)

So is Mexico known for NOT sending AOR2? I know that some offices sometimes don't... Should I be expecting one?

Yep, you will get AOR2 approximately 1-2 months from now. Atleast these are the recent AOR2 timelines for Mexico City applicants.

SA timelines have been consistent for last 3 months - 25-40 days. For the applicants submitted in May, it took more than 2 months for SA to arrive, since visa officers across the globe were given additional responsibility for prioritizing other applications. I was one of them who got caught on hold-up. As far as your app is concerned, From here on, the game would progress as per what mexico vo decides. good luck.
