Im doing my process through an innmigration advisor. Im from mexico by the way. The only thing I've been told lately its that I have to wait until we get the notes and to be patience. I'm just freaking out here, thinking that something is wrong , but my advisor says that this is a general situation that more than a dozen of cases have the same delay in the "Passport requests" stage. How else can I contact them? Im not doing anything because Im paying someone to do it for me and help me, but this is an agony... :(

Hi MariaBonita12! what is your timeline? maybe they are working in batch!
Im an applicant for January and since Aor2 on may we dont have news, My lawyer told me the same thing that you write: get the notes and be patient, and many applicants from January MCVO are in the same potition like me. I read that sometimes take up to a month and to return the passport others 45 days.

Yes, Caro! I'm happy with my progress...Where are you from? I can't see your timelines.

Oh I haven't updated yet, I will do that! Basically we sent in our application to Mississauga last week, was delivered on Monday Sept. 26th with DHL, now we are just waiting on the AOR1. I am Canadian but my husband is from Guatemala :)

Hi Maria, Immigration Consultants don't really want to bother CIC unless your application is being processed very slow. Order your notes (I haven't looked at your timelines). When did Mexico City VO began processing your file? I'm a May applicant and things seem to be going at a very good speed for me and a couple of other members in this forum....

Here is my timeline.

Category........: FAM
Visa Office......: Mexico City
App. Filed.......: SEPT-2015
SA: NOV 2015
AOR1: FEB 10 2016
Processing application on February 8, 2016.
AOR2: MAY 10, 2016 (Med's Request/Background check/ RPRF)
All sent to V.O office : June 2016
(My PR fee is paid too)

No more news since then,

My advisor asked for the notes, Sept 20,2016

Passport Req..: waiting
VISA ISSUED...: waiting
LANDED..........: waiting

That's why I'm desperate!... I guess i just need to be MORE patient

Hi MariaBonita, Yes, your file is taking long. I've noticed applicants from Central America are having the same issues..(have you had any problems throughout your process?).I'm sorry, Not sure what else I can recommend. Perhaps someone else can help you on this......

Hello all! We are waiting on Passport Request....we sent in Police check and an updated background check about a month ago. What happens if our medicals expire before we recieve PPR? Anyone know?

Try getting an extension. Since you're on the last stages of the process, you shouldn't have any problems getting one...

If there is no other issues other than you waiting for PPR CIC can extend your Medicals for 1 extra year , ( they extended mine ) .

lots of people applied few months ahead of you and still waiting .

Would I just call or email them to extend them? Or do they automatically extend them? Thank you

Hey! So my wife just got her Passport back from the MCVO! Time for landing :)

Just wondering what the best option is for landing? I've heard there is a special office at Pearson where they issue your papers immediately. Are there any other office like this for land crossing borders near the Toronto area?

No, any problems, everything went really smoothly before this stage. I guess I just have to wait to see the notes :(

they do it automatically, if you order your notes you will see if they extended it or not . there is no other ways of knowing unless they ask for re-medical which I doubt it at this time .
