Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know website right now says it can take 100 days to receive PR card, I just got it today and it only took 6 weeks, best of luck to everyone!!

Hi Everyone,

I just received my letter for sponsorship approval. My wife is in Guatemala and I was expecting the package to leave Mississauga to Mexico City since as far as I know they process the request for Central America. The letter states that the file is being forwarded to Guatemala... I hope the average processing time is similar to the Mexico (17 Months).

Please let me know if you are aware of changes that I am not.

Thank you

Excellent!

I am happy to report that the last piece to our immigration puzzle was also received this past Monday, thank goodness! My wife's PR card arrived in the mail. We have been freaking out about receiving the card before a long planned March 18, 2016 trip. We were told on landing that it would arrive in 8 weeks. That was Dec 20th. It arrived Feb 22. Close enough. It was produced on Feb 12 as the expiry is Feb 12, 2021. We had sent in an "Urgent" (2nd) PR card application as we were worried that we would not receive the card in time, but was perhaps in vain. And, nothing showed up in Ecas to indicate that the card was in process.

Speedy processing!

Wauw this week is sure looking slow.. No sight of PPRs..

Welcome to the Mexico forum HabfaninBC!

That's a surprise that they would send it to Guatemala as Mexico normally does process applications coming from Guatemala. You will have a better idea once you receive AOR2 as it will indicate where it is being processed.

Would you like to be added to our timeline spreadsheet or wait to find out where it's being processed? If you do, fill out the following and I will add you...

Hi! I was hoping to get some advice ....my husband was requested to send aditionnal documents which they are expecting to recieve in the next 26 days....they want a copy of my daugther birth certificate, updated form 5406 and decision made my IRB

The IRB descision documents has been ordered ...i was told today it was already mailed and on its way to my home in montreal ...my question is would it be better for me to mail all the papers to mexico or my husband? Since the form 5406 needs to be signed by him? Can he just scan it to me and ill print it ...or should i fax him the IRB document and birth certificate and he can send the original signed 5406 form to mexico ?

Hi ,
here what you can do . Your husband sign the Form , scan and email it back to you . you can in return scan all the documents and email them to MXVO , or you can print the form and send them all together by mail to MXVO . use FedEx or UPS .

How did you order IRB Decision Documents ? I will need one for my wife .

My husband emailed me a scanned letter which requested the irb decision be mailed to my adress he signed it a included his file number, client id, name and birth date....once i got it i printed it and faxed it to the IRB office here in montreal ...i send it on monday they told be today they mailed it on tuesday so i should get it soon...i was told to do it this way because if you go in person you need a power of attorney and just sounded.more simple this way

Sounds like it's a very slow week for everybody out of Mexico!

My husband got an email for an Interview. We received it February 23rd and the interview is on March 17th. I really feel so sad that they are questioning our relationship. We have known each other for 14 years; we have sent them tons of pictures and email message conversations from this time frame, trips and outings - tickets and receipts. Wedding pictures and his mom and dad were even witnesses. There is only 2 years between us and though we never lived together my husband did visit me in Canada for 4 months (long before we got married). Our relationship ended and we re-connected again in 2014 and decided to build our lives together for good this time. We felt we were given a second chance and it's a horrible thing to feel that it's being questioned as sincere.

The only thing I can think of which may have made them want the interview - is that I have been married twice before (once very young and once with the father of my child) and though he had a 20 year relationship with the mother of his now adult children, he never did get married.

I try to stay positive, anyone that knows us know how much we love each other and my husband is the deepest most sincere person I know so I do believe they will see this. Still, that this boils down to one person's decision during an interview - this feels terrible. :(

They have asked for him to bring his passport and any additional information that he would like an officer to consider regarding the authenticity of our marriage. Since we have sent them almost everything we had - all I can think of is letters from family and friends as well as the last years text messages since the original application. Any other advise would be helpful.

I just feel so discouraged right now, after waiting 10 months and having hopes that the PGR we sent in last week was the final stage. :'(
