Your welcome.. I bet .. I'm excited for you guys.. I saw y'all applied for a Visitor visa and was approved.. My wife and I want to the same. Can you give us an advise on how to apply correctly?

yes, he was approved for a single entry visitor visa in november. we used the fact that he was getting an interview as a good reason for him to have to return to DR. in the letter we wrote, we really tried to stress how important it was for him to get his PR, so we could guarantee that he would obey the rules of the visitor visa. honestly though, I think its like the lottery. In our letter, i tried to answer Any questions or doubts they might have

Hello everyone i have a question to ask, and i hope anyone can give me an answer, my husband and i want to bring my mother in law to Toronto for a visit this summer but we do not no if she still requires a visa to travel, she has never left Mexico before so this would be her first trip... can anyone give us a little help

Hi, The Canadian goverment anounced that visitor visas for Mexicans are not going to be required, but nothing was said about when this policy is going to start being effective. Meanwhile Mexicans still require visas to come to Canada.

Just wanted to give a little update we are july applicants and got requested additional docs.
A hard copy of our daugther birth certificate
A update 5406 form in order to add our daugther
And the IRB decision which i am not completly sure what it is we have 30 days to submit documents

IRB Decision is for refugee claimants ! did you apply for refugee protection in Canada and were refused ?
is so the IRB ( Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada ) has made a decision in your case and gave you a documents .

I have not received an AOR2 But my ECAS show they started processing my application on Feb. 10 , 2016 , I received AOR1 December 07 , 2015 .
weird situation or what's going on ?

Do you mind me asking if they requested the additional documents with AOR2 or at a later date ?

It came much later. Our AOR2 came on September 30th and the request for the police certificate and an updated Schedule A came on January 26. It was a long wait, but there were a lot of holidays over Christmas as well :

I see some people Landed 3 months after AOR2 , yours is taking a bit longer but I think you are almost done .

Thats exiting, I know the feeling, I got interviewed too...Guys just wanted to give u a little update after landing, we got our pr cards 1 week ago... we got our sin number also 4 days after landing, that was december 21, and also we got our health cards.... good luck guys and lets pray for more pprs, landings etc!!!

Quick update,

I got my PGR certificate this morning took it in to translate and will be ready by 7:00pm Guadalajara time, I will be sending all the remaining documents that were asked for on the e-mail last time (Schedule A, PGR and Right of PR Fee).

Fingers crossed I get Passport request in a week from monday but I am not in a hurry anymore I can see the finish line and it just makes us so happy.

thank you! we are almost at the end.. at the end of the interview, the agent told my husband that next week they will email him with instructions to redo his medical and he needs to get a new police clearance, and then they will request his passport... it seems like it will never end!

Oh wauw. It took a while. I guess cause of the holidays in December.. The reason why I asked cause we just received our AOR2 on February 11 and we wanted to know more or less how long we have to wait requests.. Thank you for sharing
