Finally got PPR!!!!!
It doesn't seem I have to send my passport since my country doesn't require a visa to visit Canada!
They gave me 30 days to send the photos and a photocopy of my passport (photo page).
I'm so excited!!
Cheers

csanti, Congratulations!!! We are still waiting to send our police certificate - then I hope we will be right behind you!! :D

Hey everyone! Just thought I would give a little update. My husband arrived in Canada on Feb 5. CBSA in Toronto was very fast, efficient and made hubby feel very welcome. He arrived to green grass here in Ontario, lucky for him we are currently getting a snowstorm so he can get a little taste of our Canadian winter. I still can’t believe that he actually here!
Just couple of days ago we received our file notes. We had ordered them before we had been approved.
Here is what they said:
PA is a 36 year old make from the Dominican Republic. FOSS: 2 previous visitor visa refusals to visit PA. SPR is a 24 year old female born in Canada. FOSS: NAI Ample and varied documentary evidence submitted to support the relationship. Evidence shows plenty of communication, visits from SPR and outings, and an elaborate wedding with both families present. On balance, I am satisfied this is a genuine relationship.

I’m glad our age gap didn’t deter us. We put our application together without the use of any lawyer or consultant. Makes me proud knowing that the hard work has paid off.

Good luck to those who are still waiting. There is a quote that I read in a book… “It may seem like time is against you, but soon all you’ll have is time.” I think that quote kept me grounded throughout this process.

Hi, Hope you are all doing well!
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with the ARC process? My husband recieved a departure order in Jan 2015 and was asked to leave in 30 days which he did and i send out the sponsorship application in july 2015...on the cic website is says if you leave at the indicated time and an officer is present when you leave there is no need for ARC? However i have been reading online that you still need to apply and its gotten me really worried since i am wondering how much does this delay the whole process?
