Yes, next goes in Spanish because it gets kind of complicated (sorry guys) :p

Thank you Luna!!! I wish you an amazing and wonderfull Christmas!!

Done!!!!! We sent the packet with my passport today. I went to the office in Jaime Balmes because we called the phone and they say they could receive it in person and they do BUT they charge and they don't deliver the same day. So we went to the embassy in Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra BUT they don't receive any packet in person ONLY by mail,So we run to the first DHL and sent the passport and the pre paid folder, let's hope it doesn't take so long I have a plane for January 12, This is so excited that I can't believe it!!!!! One long year of waiting.

By the way I didn't have to renew my Meds (who expired in December 10) thanks God!!!

Merry Christmas guys!!!!

Hello dear people!

Now a landed immigrant :D

Landing was easy peasy, the officer was super nice!

I was traveling with my guitar and the officer is super fan of guitars so didn't ask me anything about me, just about the guitar! It took me less than 8min.

Now getting ready for Xmas!

Thank you guys for your support!

We have been almost like a family!

Wish you all the best with your apps!

Merry Xmas everybody ;)

How exciting! I echo those comments. We were 8 minutes in immigration and about 16 minutes in customs while we did the import list paperwork and paid for the "health check" of our cat! They didn't check even one of our 8 bags! Thank you CIC and CBSA! They even arrested a guy in secondary while we were processing - just like on the Border Security show... :-X :o

Don't be a stranger Tinyaries!

Hello Everyone,

I have been keeping up with this forum for quite sometime now and from what it seems this group seems to be the closest to my case, I am also Mexican, living in the USA and I am applying outland through Family Sponsorship, so far everything has been very good, our application was received on 05/04/2015 and my Spouse was approved to be a sonsor. An email from Mexico City was received on 09/29/2015 telling us that they had also received our app, however 12/21/2015 we received an email from CIC asking us for 3 things: FBI Certificates, Payment of Right of Permanent Residence fee, and also to fill out the CSQ.... Which brings me to the next questions ... how long does FBI take to do my background check?, Can I go ahead and send the fees and the CSQ while waiting for the FBI Certificates or should I wait for the certificates and send everything at once?

The FBI has me under so much stress because I keep reading that it takes up to 16 weeks to get them back and also I don't know what CSQ is looking for in the 'undertaking'.

I would really appreciate some help.

I'll confirm that FBI Police Certificates have been taking about 4 months to process. Can't answer the other questions though, sorry.

My response to your question would be to submit the RPRF payment and CSQ when you have them ready and indicate in a letter to the visa office that the FBI Certificates will be forwarded upon receipt. At least this way they can process those 2 items while waiting and "may" somewhat speed up processing of your application. The request email/letter you received may well have provided the answer to your question as they often direct you on whether to send everything together.

Here is the excerpt from our additional document request letter - "*** To avoid delays, please submit all requested documents at the same time ***"

If it does not specify that you should feel confident in sending the RPRF payment and CSQ before FBI Certs.

I cannot help you with the CSQ "undertaking" question but surely someone else here can???

Oh, BTW, If you wish I can add you to the timeline spreadsheet. Just let me know and I will send you the questionnaire. Or you can enter it yourself...

Speedy Processing!

Hi!
By CSQ i guess your refering to the certificat de selection du Quebec? I am sorry if i dont understand your question correctly but the undertaking is the agrement the sponsor makes with the government of quebec that makes the sponosor financially responsible of the sponsored person for 3 years. (For example if the sponsored person ever seeks to recieve welfare the sponsor is responsible of paying back the governement)....I actually sent the csq application right after recieving SA and recieved approval and also recieved my husband CSQ which i believe is needed to procees PR so you should try to get it done ASAP you can find the application online (i cant seem to be able to post the link sorry)
If you are the sponsor you will recieve the sponsored person CSQ and have to send it to them since they will need it towards the end of the application!

As for FBI certificate unfortunatly it takes a while to recieve them we waited a little over 4 months to get them :( we actually were ready to send application in april and didnt until we recieved FBI certificates in July...i have notice many send them without and just attach some type of.proof the request has been made
Hope i could help answer your question!
Good Luck
