Is there a way to call Mexico immigration because DHL can't pick up our package as immigration won't release it to them. I have emailed them and haven't heard a thing. This is so stupid!! I'm so frustrated I want to cry!!

Any news 2worlds1love?

I wanted to mention.. In one of my phone calls to CIC, I asked the person on the phone if somebody could go pick up the passport on my behalf, the answer was yes.. the lady told me I could send a written authorization to somebody, copy of my passport, and copy of the PPR email.

I don't know if you already solved the passport pick up situation, but an idea could be.. If you know somebody in Mexico, you could do that, then that person can send you the passport wherever you are..

Hope things are already in place and you guys already received the passport back!

Best of luck! :)

Having been busy with preparations to travel soon I haven't had time to comment about my wife's CoPR.

Despite us having been married for more than 2 years, my wife received Condition 51, which is; PA must cohabit in a conjugal relationship with the sponsor for 2 years from the date she becomes a PR. I suppose I understand why, due to the difference in age between us, and of course, it's a non-issue for us as far as our relationship is concerned as we love each other deeply and have a great relationship. We were just a little surprised that they gave her the condition, with, in fact being married for more than 3 years at time of issuance of the visa.

Oh well! In the end we are just happy to have been approved, happy to have had the medicals extended, happy we had no interview and happy we'll be home for Christmas!

Speedy processing everyone!

Also praying for the others to get it soon fast, and more pprs also... bye bye good luck

Hi! congratulation to everyone who will finally be with their loves onea!! :D
I had a little question concerning GMCS notes.
I am the sponsor does that mean that my husband needs to send them or I do?
And if it is my husband i can send them on his behalf? Can he scan me a signed consent form if needed?
Thank you!!!

Hello dama2015!

The applicant is who asks for the GMCS notes, he can authorize you to receive them on his behalf, and yes he can scan you the authorization!

Here you have the link to request the notes

https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/

And this video explains step by step how to make the request..

Good luck :)

Hi!
I am just a little confuse about one thing it says "To be eligible to make a request under the Access to Information Act or the Privacy Act, you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual or corporation currently present in Canada" are they referring to the person who make the request ? since my husband is neither ....

dama2015!

They are referring to the person that is going to receive the notes, in this case it would be you.

They will ask you to attach your PR card and/or your driver's license at a later point..

It is a little confusing I know..

dama2015!

A picture should be ok, just make sure it is really clear!
What's important is that they can read the information.

You are very welcome ;)

At the airport in Manzanillo now awaiting our Westjet direct flight to Calgary! About 6 hours from landing... Excited, sad and tired but ready to arrive and start the next chapter of our lives together. Thank goodness for Calgary's Chinook winds. It'll only be about -5C when we arrive ;).

Best wishes to all for speedy processing! Will be back on here soon as I have a couple interesting observations about our GMCS notes!

You do not have to translate it. I sent my facebook's conversations (250 pages) plus emails, with my application and i did not translate anything. Is not necessary
